January 3 & 4 Hong Kong - the Asia tour ends with two concerts at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Carreras was accompanied by David Giménez conducting the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and guest soprano Giorgia Fumanti. In the photo (right) Carreras and Fumanti at the conclusion of the final concert.

January 15 Madrid, Spain - visit to the leukemia ward of the Hospital Infantil La Paz and presentation of a new campaign to raise awareness about the work of the Fundación Josep Carreras and the need for more bone marrow donors and supporting members of the Foundation. In the photo (right), José Carreras and Real Madrid football star, Iker Casillas, with a young patient at the La Paz hospital. Casillas, is one of several Spanish footballers lending their support to the campaign.

January 18 Pamplona, Spain - recital with pianist Lorenzo Bavaj in the Auditorio de Navarra Baluarte. Following the recital, Pamplona's Councillor of Culture, Juan Ramón Corpas, presented Carreras with a plaque in recognition of his work as the Honorary President of the Concurso Internacional de Canto Julián Gayarre.

February 12 Fuenlabrada, Spain - benefit recital in aid of the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation with pianist Lorenzo Bavaj in the Teatro Josep Carreras. In the photo (right) taken in September 2006, Carreras with his wife, Jutta, and brother, Albert, at the official opening of the theatre which bears his name.

February 14 Palma de Mallorca, Spain - benefit recital in aid of the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation with pianist Lorenzo Bavaj in the Catedral de Palma de Mallorca (La Seu). More than 3500 people attended the recital which was also broadcast on large screens outside the cathedral.

February 17 Athens, Greece - benefit concert in the Megaron Mousikis concert Hall with soprano Elena Ioanidou and tenor Mario Frangoulis. The ERT National Symphony Orchestra was conducted by David Giménez. In the photo (right) Carreras during the pre-concert press conference on February 16th.

March 10 Santander, Spain - joint performance with flamenco dancer Sara Baras at the Palacio de Festivales, accompanied by pianist Lorenzo Bavaj.

March 16 Røros, Norway - a brief visit to film a Christmas show with Sissel in the town's church. The show is due to be broadcast in several countries, including the USA in December 2007.

March 17 Perafort i Puigdelfí, Spain - attends a ceremony dedicating a plaza in his name. The house where his maternal grandmother, Rosa Saigí, was born once stood in the plaza. In the photo (right) Carreras and his wife during the dedication.

March 19 Zaragoza, Spain - another sold-out performance with flamenco dancer Sara Baras and pianist Lorenzo Bavaj - this time in the Auditorio de Zaragoza.

March 23 Brescia, Italy - visits  the Ospedale Pediatrico di Brescia, a center of excellence for the treatment of children with leukemia.

March 24 Brescia, Italy - gives a sold-out benefit recital at the Teatro Grande with soprano Maria Luigia Borsi and pianist Lorenzo Bavaj in aid of the Ospedale Pediatrico di Brescia and the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation.
