June 1 Istanbul, Turkey - concert in the Istanbul Arena with soprano Sabina Puértolas, David Giménez conducting. The following day, June 2, he was back in Spain for a joint performance with Sara Baras as part of the Americas Cup celebrations in Valencia. In the photo (right). June 9 Valletta, Malta - presides over charity football match between a team led by former Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel and a team of Maltese parliamentarians which raised over $6,800 for the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation. In the photo (right) Malta's Prime Minister, Lawrence Gonzi, looks on as Carreras presents Dr Victor Calvagna with a check for the money raised.

June 13 London, UK - guest performer in Diva Opera's gala performance in the Plaisterer's Hall to benefit the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation. A further concert to benefit the Carreras Foundation took place on June 16 in Kristianstad, Sweden at the Ovesholm Castle with Carreras accompanied by the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. The concert was attended by King Gustaf of Sweden.
