April 5 The Hague, Holland -. charity gala concert in the city's Nieuwe Kerk in aid of the Dutch Multiple Sclerosis Society. In the photo (right), Carreras with members of the Stichting MS Research.

May 11 Beijing China - films a special music video for China's environmental campaign leading up to the 2008 Olympics. In the photo (right), Carreras relaxes during a break in the filming. On May 16 in Qingdao, China he performed with several Chinese stars in a concert to mark Disabled Persons' Day. The concert, "Marching into the Special Olympics", coincided with the finals of the IFDS Disabled Sailing Regatta in Qingdao.

June 3 Murcia, Spain - joint performance with flamenco dancer Sara Baras in the Auditorio y Centro de Congresos Victor Villegas. The pair gave a further performance on June 27 in Pozuelo de Alarcón in the Auditorio el Torreón as well as a private performance on June 29 in Madrid at the opening dinner of the 19th World Petroleum Congress.

June 5 Barcelona, Spain - opens an exhibition in the foyer of the Gran Teatre del Liceu commemorating the 50th anniversary of his debut there at age 11 in El retablo de Maese Pedro. The exhibition, sponsored by Chopard, long time supporters of the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation, had many performance photographs of Carreras' performing at the Liceu as well as his stage costumes and other memorabilia from his long career.

June 14 Velden, Austria - Carreras & Friends concert in the Schloss Velden with Swedish baritone Carry Persson and Mexican soprano Rebeca Olvera.

June 17 Barcelona, Spain - recital with pianist Lorenzo Bavaj at the Gran Teatre del Liceu to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his debut there in El Retablo de Maese Pedro on January 3, 1958. The recital was broadcast on Spanish radio and television as well as simulcast to the beach of Barceloneta. Following the performance at the Liceu, Carreras appeared in person to the crowds gathered at the Barceloneta to sing his final encore - Rosó

June 19 Madrid, Spain - visits the children's oncological hematology unit of the Hospital Niño Jesús with Spanish actress and television presenter, Belén Rueda (in the photo right).

June 19 Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia - concert in the Jalil Opera and Ballet Theatre with pianist Lorenzo Bavaj and the Nuovo Quartetto Italiano marking the start of a tour of to three Russian cities provincial. In the photo (right) Carreras is greeted at the Kazan International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture Zilya Valeyeva. Further concerts took place on June 21 in Yekaterinburg at the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic Hall and June 23 in Tyumen at the Tyumen Philharmonic Hall.
